Sales Manager with experience in the travel industry and media sales wanted in Madrid!!!!

For our international client in Spain we are currently recruiting for a SALES MANAGER to be placed in Madrid! What you’ll do: We are looking for an individual with natural enthusiasm for the industry and the ability to plan and build long-term relationships across a dedicated sector within Spain, Portugal and Malta (sector changes will occur as our business and sales team expands). Arranging and conducting face-to-face meetings with key agencies and clients, with a natural ability to see how our company can help clients/accounts grow their brand and achieve internal targets and the creativity to develop multi-level partnerships, is a key to the success of this role. Equally important is the willingness to thoroughly understand the nature of your sector and being able to present the unique power and value that the company has across the globe. The right individual needs to be willing to research and find information, developments and market news, and share these with the rest of the team and clients, in order to establish themselves as a knowledgeable representative of the company in the dedicated markets. What we need from you: We are searching for a good team player, who enjoys developing and presenting an advertising-based, revenue-generating idea/opportunity to a marketing challenge, often without a specific brief. This individual needs to be creative and able to perform in a fast-paced, highly changing marketplace and be driven to meet and exceed revenue targets and take full reasonability for their sector. In addition they must be prepared for day to day account management with a consultative approach to clients’ and agencies’ needs and timelines. As a good communicator, natural listener, presenter and negotiator, the right candidate will demonstrate ease when dealing with Marketing Managers/Directors, General Managers and CEO’s working both online and offline as well as all levels of hierarchies within a media agency. Experience: Media sales experience - the majority being gained in face-to-face sales meetings with clients and advertising agencies preferably on Pan-European level. Premium is placed on Travel Industry and traditional media experience with a solid contacts network within the media agency landscape as well as the travel landscape. Qualifications: University degree (or equivalent) required and/or extensive experience in the travel/sales industry. Language skills: Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English, other languages will be beneficial. Skills/Knowledge: • Familiarity and knowledge of the Spanish media industry and travel industry is essential. Knowledge of key clients and contacts is an added bonus. • Must be able to proactively research their sector and internally report and forecast the long term prospects and opportunities. • An understanding of the media sales process including traditional media and/or online is required. • Familiarity with the internet and basic computer knowledge of software programs such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
