As Head of Global Procurement, Vice President you will design the global procurement strategy and establish the global procurement organization together with all relevant stakeholders (R&D, production sites, etc.) to increase group competitiveness and performance. You will work closely together with, manage and lead the procurement team. By cooperating with business units in Europe as well as in Asia, you strengthen the implementation of the company strategy, help deepening an understanding for coporate and global goals and coordinate and supervise global and multi-regional projects. The Head of Global Procurement builds and maintains contacts with business partners or suppliers and ensures that negotiated contracts are fulfilled and in line with strategy. He/she makes sure that all procurement processes are optimized regarding costs, inventory and availability and provides financial recommendations while considering the operation costs (material, logistics, payment terms, etc.). Furthermore, you negotiate contracts with existing as well as new partners and suppliers.
You possess a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Business Degree and/or relevant additional professional qualifications (CPM, CIPS or comparable). With your profound procurement and global logistics experience in a technical and/or production as well as international working environment, you know how to implement global procurement concepts, respectively strategies, and how to manage a wide range of international stakeholders. You are able to lead international projects and establish operational processes. Strategic sourcing experience in a global high tech production, as well as contract negotiations, are further assets. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Moreover, you are able to interact effectively with multi-functional team members. You are very well acquainted with e-procurement (SAP or any other SRM/ERP tool) and perfectly speak English as well as German. Any other language, especially Chinese, would be a plus. Additionally, you are willing to travel regularly.
