For one of our client, an International consulting company we are searching a Software Engineer with willingness to travel and 3/5 years of experience.
Project requirements dictate daily tasks, including feasibility analysis, modeling, integration and implementation with a focus on enterprise search.
Committed code is expected to be thoroughly tested by the submitter and is generally reviewed by a senior developer.
Team members work collaboratively from various locations, occasionally with flexible working hours, and intermittent travel will likely be required.
Eligibility to work within the EU and/or Switzerland
Ability to function independently and work well within a team
Strong verbal and written English language skills
Strong knowledge of Java, including experience with JEE, Servlets and JSP
Experience with Search Engines (e.g. Attivio, Lucene/SOLR, FAST, Autonomy, Endeca, etc.)
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in the area of (computer-) linguistics
Experience with Java Web Development & Concepts (such as RESTful services etc.)
Ability to extend existing products and leverage their APIs
Experience with Agile, Test Driven Development
Experience in professional development environments, such as Eclipse IDE
Familiarity with build automation (e.g. Maven), version control (e.g. Subversion), task management, bug tracking and wiki-based
Strong capacity to identify requirements and define technical solutions
Additional language skills, including German or Spanish, would be an asset
Location: Barcelona, Munich or Zurich
Willing to travel is mandatory (50% of your working month)
