Here you’ll find answers to your questions, and information about XING features. You can also contact the XING Support team if you need any other assistance.
Unfortunately these features aren't available yet with the iPhone app. You can however launch our mobile website "touch.xing.com" and read/post in groups.
The events section is currently only available on the regular website "www.xing.com"
We have plans to add the groups and events features to the iPhone app, and we'll let you know once this is possible.
Unfortunately your event and group notifications will not appear on a mobile device for technical reasons. Please log in on a computer to receive these notifications.
Please go to the XING app, then select "Contacts" from the menu, followed by the contact you would like to add to your iPhone address book. Then click on the arrow pointing downwards in the top right-hand corner. When the next window opens, click on "Create new contact" or, if you'd simply like to add information from XING to an existing contact entry, select "Add to contact".
The Mobile Handshake is based on the standardized Geolocation API created by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Depending on your device, GPS, IP addresses, or WiFi positions may be used to determine your location. When you launch the Mobile Handshake, your phone will send information letting our servers know where you are to make it easier for you to expand your network. Your personal data is protected at all times.
Please delete the app, and then download and install it again from the App Store. If this doesn't help, please let us know which iPhone you're using as well as your operating system version and app version and whether or not your iPhone has been jailbroken (if you don't know what the latter means, then your iPhone will most probably not have been jailbroken ;-))
