  IT outsourcing in Central and Eastern Europe 2009 - PMR special report

  IT businesses worldwide have been seeking ways to relocate parts of their business process using IT and human resources to markets that offer lower costs and better development prospects. Outsourcing is not strictly related to the IT industry, but IT outsourcing accounts for the bulk of the entire outsourcing industry.
  
  Nearshoring, a process of outsourcing some of the business or IT processes to nearby countries, has become central to EU firms, which have been relocating significant parts of their work to the CEE region over the past decade.
