I am honored to have been added to the slate for the ICF Board of Directors 2009

(The following is a copy of an International Coach Federation Communication)

ICF 2009 Board of Directors Slate

After several weeks of intense discussion, a strenuous interview schedule and careful consideration, the 2008 ICF Nominating Committee has proposed a slate of individuals to fill the open president-elect and director positions on the 2009 global ICF Board of Directors. The slate includes six ICF Credentialed coaches from three countries. Seventeen candidates from five countries submitted applications this year, reflective of the international make-up of ICF's membership.

The candidate review process is quite rigorous. This year's talented Nominating Committee strove to maintain the highest ethical standards to ensure the integrity of the review process which includes: a rigorous review of applications, an analysis of the entire Board of Directors demographics, strategically focused candidate interviews, and sincere consideration leading to consensus.

The ICF Nominating Committee recommends the following credentialed members for president-elect and open director positions on the 2009 global Board:

President-Elect: Giovanna D'Alessio, MCC, Italy

Directors At Large (Terms Expiring 2011):
Ira Dressner, PCC, USA;
Janet Harvey, PCC, USA;
Krissy Jackson, ACC, Switzerland;
Ed Modell, PCC, USA;
Pat Obuchowski, ACC, USA

Next Steps:
August 11-September 11: Beginning today, there is a 30-day window for the filing of petitions which allows for any qualified member not on the proposed slate to place his or her name in nomination by going through the petition process. View more information on the petition process.
September 12: The official ICF ballot will be announced to the membership.
September 12-October 2: Online voting will be available for all ICF Credentialed members.
October 10: Newly elected officers and Board members will be announced.
November 13: Newly elected officers and Board members will be introduced at the ICF Annual Business Meeting during the Annual International Conference in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
January 1, 2009: The new leaders will officially take office.
