What three traits are essential for you to consider yourself a success
The mistake many people make is that they work and work and work and work often until they reach their grave because they never feel satisfied that they have achieved success.

If we don't define what success is for ourselves from the outset - how will we know what it looks like when we get there?

What three things or traits must you possess before you can call yourself successful?

For me it is:

Having good friends all over the world
Financial, business and personal freedom to travel how I want, where I want, when I want.
To manage a charitable trust that donates at least 1 million every year.

Success is defined by the individual.

Success as you said is what makes you happy. For each person that will be different.

Unfortunately many people start out judging their success by the number of cars they have in the garage, the size of their house/s and the amount of money they have in the bank. Once they have reached this level of success they realize that these things don't make them happy.

This may seem obvious to you, but you don't have to look far to see that the majority of people have not grasped this.

My point is to look to your values to evaluate what success means to you.

For me, as you can see above, it is social interaction, freedom and giving back, for others it may be very different.
