Each day we will be releasing an interview with one of our fantastic speakers, providing all delegates an insight into what you can expect from each session as well as a piece of advice for attending a4uexpo Europe.24 May 2011, 3:53 pma4uexpo Europe Speaker Interview with Geno Prussakov
Our very first interview of the series is with Geno Prussakov, from AM Navigator. Geno’s session; ‘Common Mistakes Stagnating Your Affiliate Programme’s Growth‘ is on day one of a4uexpo, at 14.45 in Ballroom A.
What is your session covering and why is it important for our delegates?
Mine will be a dynamic presentation (with plenty of examples and illustrations) in which we’ll uncover a plethora of common deadly mistakes committed by merchants and affiliate managers. I’ll go over a number of elements, integral to affiliate program growth, which are either being overlooked or misunderstood by the majority of affiliate program managers. Why is it important? Because undervaluation of these key elements inevitably stagnates your program growth.
What can delegates expect to learn? Why should they choose you? And what will be the key take always?
Expect to take away actionable tips on how to improve your affiliate program in at least 3 areas. I’ll cover over a dozen, but I’m certain there won’t be a single person/company in the room who has all of these covered. For each of the problems covered we’ll answer three questions: (a) what is the mistake (b) why the element is important, and (iii) how to do it right.
During your session what question would you ask other panelists or yourself if you were in the audience?
Great question. Mine would be: “What would you do differently if you had a chance to rewind everything 8 years back, and start anew?”
Aside from your own session, what other sessions will you be attending at a4uexpo Europe and why?
I’m flying in just for June 7 (the date when I’m speaking); so, unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend as many sessions as I would’ve done otherwise. However, out of the ones that I can make, I’m planning on attending the following four: “Persuasion: Surefire Psychological Tactics To Boost Your Conversion Rate” by Stephen Pavlovich (because I’m fascinated with all things persuasion), “Performance Marketing: Display Matters” with Ulrich Bartholomäus (because the session description looks interesting), “M-Commerce & Performance Marketing Strategy” with Liane Dietrich (m-commerce seems to be the future, and, hence, is of great interest to me), and “Kick Ass SEO” with Gary Beal, Alexander Holl, Bob Rains, Marcus Tandler, and Joost de Valk.
What one piece of advice would you give to delegates attending this years a4uexpo Europe
To take the most out of the show, plan everything in advance. There will be many awesome folks you want to meet, but grabbing them “on the run” is never as fruitful as having personal meetings scheduled in advance. I myself am open to meetings as well. So, do email or tweet me, and I’ll make sure we’ll meet.
