Here's a brief description of the job opening:

This is for a automotive related firm that is doing over 300 million in sales..creating and designing new products.

They have built a business, doing over $300 million in Sales, CREATING and DESIGNING new automotive aftermarket products...having them manufactured in bulk by vendors and subcontractors ( mostly in China but Taiwan, Korea and Thailand as well) then... repackaging and shipping to customers like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Pep Boys and Autozone as well as smaller retail outlets throughout the US and Europe. They are also branching out into other household products such as electrical outlets or storage systems.

-Prefer US citizen as first option...but already based in China if possible.

-Would like this person to have solid Purchasing/negotiation skills, Engineering experience if possible, and Quality experience would be plus ( would manage both Purchasing and Supplier Quality)

-Travel would mainly be domestically in China, 1-2 trips to the US annually, and a few trips within Asia (Taiwan/Thailand/Korea) on an as-needed basis - travel would be estimated at 10-15% overall

-Automotive experience -Management experience - China office will be at 40 contributors with 1 in Taiwan and 1 in Thailand

-Leadership qualities with knowledge/experience with Asian business practices and culture
