Entering China: What you need to know
It is clear to everybody that China is a fast-growing economy looking to increase its GDP by 10% over the next 12 months.

Many firms are keen to penetrate into this market to continue to expand its global presence and drive firm performance to counteract a decline in business in more established markets.

However, successfully entering a foreign market requires great strategic thought and analysis. A "one size fits all business model" does not exist and you will need to address the following to ensure your ride into China isnt bumpy..

Do you understand the Chinese market?
Do you know who your competitors are?
Have you benchmarked your competitors business model to yours to understand how you can further differentiate your value proposition?
Do you truly understand what problem the Chinese customers are trying to solve--does your product and service provide a suitable solution to these problems?
Do you have enough capital to fund this global expansion?
Is your existing business model innovative-friendly?

Business Model Innovation is key to any firms strategy to ensure they are able to quickly adapt to changing markets and evolving customers needs and expectations.
