    Hi from Japan
    Dear ACM colleagues,

    I am a Brazilian (descendant from Italy & Germany immigrants) engineer living in Japan for more than ten years.

    I joined ACM six years ago, mainly because of the free courses online provided by Sun Microsystems available at that time (unfortunately they're not available anymore). Nowadays, I am using the ACM Digital Library to research papers about software methodologies and framework tools.

    Since I am a member of IEEE Computer Society too, I hope I can contribute to this group in way that both societies can coexist in a complementary way (although nowadays they're offering very similar services...).

    My preferred field of work is around electronics engineering (instrumentation & measurement, industrial automation, robotics, etc) and software development (design, programming, and testing).
