    Hi,
    For 10 years I am member of SIGCHI.
    I am with Sun as a User Experience[1] Architect in the area of Desktop Virtualization [2].

    Thanks David, for setting up this group. I like the international dimensions of our profession.

    I joined the ACM SIGCHI because a one year free membership was included at CHI 1998 in L.A. That was a terrific event; meeting Doug Engelbart (I moderated a session with him 10 years later in Copenhagen), Alan Kay (e-mail conversations about his years at Xerox Parc), Frank Ludolph (the UI Designer of Apple Lisa, and later my mentor at Sun), Tog (became a friend like Frank), Ben Shneiderman, ...

    Today I am User Experience Principal and Software Development Manager at Oracle. "My" products tackle the area of desktop virtualization. If you like you can draw a direct connection from the original desktop systems to what I am doing today. It is still a fun ride.
