  GIZ Job 8625: Investigations & Verification Adviser (m/f), Namibia

  http://j.mp/GIZ8625: The project is to support the improvement of the land administration system and to increase security of tenure in six Northern Communal Areas (NCA) of the Republic of Namibia, by mapping and establishing the status quo of commonage areas and registering individual and group rights. This process is supported by capacity building and civic education measures, additionally offers support to the improvement of the land policy framework and the registration procedures, operations and systems as part of the Communal Land Reform Act of 2002.
  
  Responsibilities (excerpt)
  • Guiding the mapping and registration process of communal land rights
  • Support the performance improvement for land management
  • Supervision of regional staff in terms of office and field operations (50 % of total work time)
  
  Qualifications
  • University degree in land administration, land surveying, integrated land management or a related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in African countries in land registration and/or land management.
  • Experience in developing strategic plans
  • Good reporting and writing skills. Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to present workshop and seminars at managerial and technical levels, as well as for local interest groups.
  • Excellent computer and ICT skills
  • Knowledge and practical use of ArcGIS and GPS would be an added advantage
