  The plight of Orphan headed households.

  A week ago, I was traversing in the valleys of Kyannamukaaka Sub County in Malongo village. I came across a family of 5 orphans and the eldest child was the 16 year old, Christine. Looking at the status of the household I stopped and asked on the neighbourhood which people live in the neighbourhood. The neighbour Ann Maria told me, the house was inhabited by 5 orphans. “Who takes care of these children?” I asked. I further went ahead to ask the Chairperson of Local Council 1(village administration whether they have heard of this family in Malongo sub county. The chairperson was not informed of the plight of the family. I requested the village Chairperson to spare time to visit the family together. Fortunately the chairperson accepted to visit the family.
