Invitation to our course on the island of Lanzarote: “The Foreign and Me - The Aesthetic of Travel”

Course: In the area of conflict “Homeland” and “Outland” artists have been searching for new
inspirations for their artistic creations, because the perception widens with the imprints of new
surroundings, far away from the daily round and stress, helping them to get to new imagination and
creative ideas. In class we'll concentrate on the design of a artistic idea, where the delight for the new
surroundings should be used as a source for inspiration.
The island Lanzarote offers an optimal background for work of arts about travel, “The Foreign and Me”.
A lot of tourists visit the island all over the year and explore the landscape. Everyone perceives it
differently and takes different experiences and adventures back home.
