Sunday on Speed TV
Labor Day Weekend live and in person at Road Atlanta
There's lots of exciting events on Speed TV this weekend, including four hours of motorcycle racing Sunday afternoon as fans get ready to see the big bikes and AMA stars in person Labor Day weekend at Road Atlanta during the Suzuki Superbike Showdown presented by Rockstar.
Sunday (Aug 17) will be a great day to watch Speed TV. First, the MotoGP race from Brno airs from 2-3 p.m., followed by the tape delay of the Saturday Superbike race from VIRginia International Raceway from 4-5 pm. The Supersport race from VIR airs from 5-6, and then Sunday's VIR Superbike race airs from 6-7 p.m., followed by the popular Speed Report show live from 7-8 pm. All times are EST.
Look for the Road Atlanta 30-second TV commercial during Sunday's motorcycle racing programming. The Road Atlanta Ticket Office will be open this weekend - Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 8 p.m. - so call 1-800-849-7223 to order your Suzuki Superbike Showdown presented by Rockstar tickets and save up to $15 off the gate price! Spies enters the VIR doubleheader with a 27-point lead over his Rockstar Makita Yoshimura Suzuki factory teammate, but Mladin has won the last four races since ending Spies' record seven race winning streak at Road America on June 8. Both have won seven times this season. VIR is the last event before the Road Atlanta doubleheader.
Remember, Children Under 12 Are Always Free (even for the paddock) when accompanied by a paid adult.
Trials Champion Geoff Aaron Featured
at Suzuki Superbike Showdown
Ten-time AMA Trials Champion Geoff Aaron will perform nine times during the Suzuki Superbike Showdown presented by Rockstar:
Friday, Aug. 29 - 11:00 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7:15 p.m. for the Fan Party in the Support Paddock
Saturday, Aug. 30 - 11:00 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 31 - 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
All of his performances except the 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Friday evening shows will be in Vendor Village.
The star of the Extreme Riding Entertainment team will perform a series of incredible maneuvers over impossible-looking obstacles. Named the AMA Sports Athlete of the Year in 2000 and 2006, Aaron has been a member of the USA Trial des Nations team 15 times and has 73 career Trials victories.

Free Fan Party Set for Friday, Aug. 29
Road Atlanta will host its second annual Free Fan Party on Friday, Aug.29, opening day of the Suzuki Superbike Showdown presented by Rockstar. Fans will be admitted free starting at 3 p.m. for the Fan Party in the Hospitality Chalet in the Support Paddock.
Many of the top AMA riders are scheduled to appear at a free autograph session from 6:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a special stunt performance by Geoff Aaron.
Miss Road Atlanta Julie LaClair is also scheduled to appear.
Top AMA Riders to Appear at Jeffrey's for Live Radio Show
Jordan Suzuki teammates Aaron Yates and Geoff May as well as M4 EMGO Suzuki rider Blake Young are among the guests scheduled to appear on the live broadcast of "Speed Zone" on Monday, Aug. 25 from 7-9 pm at Jeffrey's Sports Grill in Braselton. Kevin Schwantz, the Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup coach will also appear along with Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup riders Cory Rech and Jake Morman will also be interviewed by host Mike Bell. Schwantz, the 1993 500cc World Champion, also runs the popular Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School at Road Atlanta.
790TheZone will broadcast live from Jeffrey's for five hours, starting at 4 p.m. with The Afternoon Saloon show with Mike Bell, Brandon Leak and Chuck Oliver as hosts.
Jeffrey's is located on Hwy 211 (exit 126 off I-85), just down the road from Chateau Elan and about five miles from Road Atlanta.
