Hello Alice,
As a writer on adventure and leisure sports, what follows will certainly not comes as fresh news for you, but here it comes. If you go in the Alps, near Annecy, you find plenty of activities that are worth doing in terms of adventure sport, and outdoor activities.
Cannyoning in Talloires, fantastic cannyons are available for groups to go with appropriate guides and equipments
Paragliding in Talloires, One of the best known sites for paragliding, with the famous take off point of La Forlcaz, overlooking the Annecy Lake - fantastic flying site, with several schools available around for tandem flying or classes
Mountain Biking all around the region there, being in Saint Jean de Sixt or the Grand Bornand - fabulous tours are available
and many more things are possible in this region... hope you'll get time to explore sometime if you haven't done so already.
Cheers,
Sebastien
