Checking out the AS/400 forum.
I was introduced to the AS/400 in Toronto labs when it was code named silverlake.
I was working for an IBM Business partner at the time.
I have had fun building communications software and application software on the AS/400.
Written tools to migrate S/36 to AS/400 (DB2 400 files)
Now the migration is to SQL.
The latest projects include developing MySQL & PHP definitions to run on the i5.
THe big thing is to move our applications to LAMP - it can run on an i5 partition, native on the ir (V5R3 or higher)
or eventually on LAMP appliance.
A quick hi.
I have had a year of German in the high school - I don't think I could respond to most of the articles.
If you have interest or questions the migration project feel free to respond or send me an email.
