  Introduction - Undine Groeger

  Thank you for inviting me to this Forum, José! So I will start off with a short introduction. Namaste/Namaskar; I am very much interested in Asia and have been living and working in Nepal when the cease fire broke again in Summer 2003 during the Maoist conflict. Since then I have been very much in touch with people from that region and continued networking also with people/friends from other regions in Asia such as China, India and Indonesia and worked as well again in international organizations covering that area geographically but in a different context. Apart from that I travel on a regular basis to Turkey, which is spread over both continents, so I was eager to discover the Asian part of Istanbul. I am currently based in Moldova, having been working in an HIV/AIDS project recently in Transnistria, the break away region from Moldova, one of the frozen conflicts in South Eastern Europe.
  I look forward to meet people with similar interests, experiences and stimulating ideas for exchange. Undine
