Hello,
I would like to open this forum to exchange information about Artop and the Artop User Group. Artop is the short form for AutosaR TOol Platform. The aim of the Artop UG is to build a base platfom for Autosar tools free of charge. This platform will be focused on the non competitive base of the tooling environment. Currently this functionality is developed again and again individually by every Autosar tool manufacturer and consumes time and money without bringing any benefit to the customer. The aim of Artop is to provide a platform for tools to every Autosar member that is freely available and will allow for interoperability between different tools.

Hi Ingo,
Many thanks for this information. Even if RENAULT is not completly yet involved in AUTOSAR, I'm trying to keep up-to-date with the latest news of AUTOSAR.
Feel free to tell me if you need to get in touch with our AUTOSAR expert in RENAULT.

Hello Mr. Bruse.
Good to hear that there is progress towards making Autosar an "Open Standard".
Unfortunately the Autosar legal regulations dont allow for a "real"(!) open source implementation since one has to be a member of the consortium to get access to the source of Artop.
Is there something on the way to relax those regulations from the Autosar consortium?
Kind regards
Hauke Wintjen

Hallo Herr Wintjen,
To my knowledge there are no changes planed to the way that Autosar treats its information. But I can really not comment on that - an Autosar official has to do that.
I do know however that it would have made some of the Artop organisation easier.
Regards
