  Estonia held the best ranking of the Baltic states and was hailed by the report as the 22nd most business-friendly country in the world, wedged in between Switzerlandand Korea. Lithuaniaand Latvia, meanwhile, scored 28th and 29th respectively – ahead of Israelbut behind Austria.
  Latvia and Lithuania were found to have drastically improved their scores with regards to the ease of registering property for business purposes. Latviawas also cited as improving how easy it is to close a business.

  alles eine Frage der Betrachtungsweise! So wird keineswegs erwähnt, dass die baltischen Staaten im Vgl. zu den Vorjahren Plätze eingebüßt haben.
  Diese Eigenart der Betrachtungsweise musste ich schon mehrfach in Estland konstatieren - alles nach dem Motto, was nicht passt, wird ausgeblendet. Das ist eigentlich schade, aber es ist leider Fakt.
  Eine wesentliche Konsequenz: alle Veröffentlichungen aus diesem Raume werden mit besonderer Vorsicht "genossen" - in der Regel abgeglichen, bevor sie Eingang in Bewertungen/betrachtungen finden.
  
  Aus aktueller Sicht deutet sich an, dass trotz aller Liberalität der Wirtschaftsentwicklung in den kommenden zwei bis drei Jahren sich Fehlentwicklungen in Potenz rächen werden. Und darauf sollte jedes Unternehmen vorbereitet sein.
