Hello or Ni hao ! I am happy to participate in this group. My name is Tomaz Kavcic. I come from Koper, a little town in a tiny european country, called Slovenia. I work as a customs clearing broker for a shipping agency and freight forwarding firm in Koper, where the Koper seaport, one of the most important Adriatic Sea seaports, is located. As you will probably notice reading my profile, I am quite keen on travelling. My affection towards China has been growing up with the possibility to have more and more new friends from Zhong guo. I cherish what China as a country and its companies have achieved so far. I look forward to visiting it very soon. Of course my path will lead me first to Bei jing or Peking. Hence I came here.As a result everybody is welcome to write me and thus broaden my horizons - whether on China or Bei jing. Xie xie ni. Zhu ni kai xin. Zai jian.

Luck is not enough. Never rely only on it. I know Beijing and Peking is the same name for your capital. I like making new friends across the world.

Welcome to Xing and to the Beijing Group.
Luck might not be enough but .. It helps to have "Lady Luck" on one's team.
One of the ways to improve one's chance is to have a good network of contact that can help, support and advise.
This Xing Beijing Group is a good starting point. Please do use this, and the "All About Beijing" group, to post questions and to develop your Beijing contacts.
When you do arrive it is also recommended to consider participating in some of the off-line networking events. Nothing beats face to face contacts. It gives you an opportunity to understand who is just hunting around looking for soft targets and whose focus is compatible with yours.

It's nice to be accepted into the group. Of course, a bit of luck we all need, don't we ? I agree - networking is an important tool for making acquaintances and find a help or a support when you need them. In addition, advises are always welcomed. I hope to learn a lot on Beijing here. You see, my aim is to visit somebody in person in Beijing. Thus I'll be happy to participate here with my comments.

I have been Ljubljana of SLOVENIA and some citys of Croatia two years gao, they are nice places and beautiful. welcome to beijing, if you have some question, we can answer it here. Good luck again.

Hello !
It's nice to know people across the globe are familiar with the capital town of Slovenia, Ljubljana. But, please, don't compare us to Croatia, because there is a big difference between us, you know. Slovenia is a member of the EU, whereas Croatia is a third country. I hope to come to Beijing in March 2009. I suppose I'll really need luck in order to survive in this metropolis. If I happen to have a question on Beijing, you can be sure I'll raise it here. Good day y'all.
