    I have just deleted one post since obviously the poster did not understand my intention in providing this forum.

    This forum is NOT intended to be a place to post advertisements for specific properties or for a specific Estate Agent.

    This is the place for us, the tenants, to compare notes and comments about the various properties and the various Estate Agents.

    There are in Beijing so many unethical Estate Agents and too few good ones. I know that I have discovered one or two that are excellent. However, I often hear horror stories about the agents are only interested in our money and not in providing a service.

    There are also some great housing options and some that are far from adequate. So if you want somebody's opinion on property X then hopefully we will be able to find someone living there who can provide you with a true portrait of the place (warts and all).

    Estate Agents are welcome to post answers to questions. We will know who you are from your Xing profile. Your professional ability will be judged by all the people who read your posts.

    Being in real estate industry for over 2 years, I guess Mr. Colin Friedman's right, and I'd like to share some experiences with you...

    To choose a famous or a big real estate agency, your relocation demands not always to be satisfied. They might careless and handover all the stuff to a customer service department - who do not pay too much attention to you and do not know the details which ever happened in your apartment or between tenant and landlord.

    In my opinion, I would like to trust an agent whom is recommended by friends. They are experienced and provide great service.

    1. Do not trust an agent who always answer: NO PROBLEM! They might be treating you, and will not give you any REAL consultant.

    2. In a marketing price, do not ask too much unreasonable requirement, it will make your agent and landlord challenge you something else. Agent will hate you because you make him/her in the middle. (I saw my colleagues weeping because of that.)

    3. Appreciate their assistance with honesty! They help you a lot, find some appropriate apartments, arrange a schdule, make appointments, prepare some paperwork, negotiation, pre-check before move-in, after-sales service...and etc. though you didn't see what they do for you.

    Introducing myself, I am working in a real estate agency - Key Solution Realty - which is a small company but providing professional service and great consultant. All of us have hotel work experience and at least one year real estate work experience, good in english and sensitive. Our clients from global company, such like Sony Ericsson, Perlos, Microsoft, KPMG, PWC, Zurich, AES, Maersk...
