Now that I have your attention.... :)
Yes, I'll buy you a nice cold drink of your choosing. But you have to have excellent knowledge of one or more of the following:
* Beijing job market for senior executives.
* Beijing jobs in PE/M&A.
* State-owned enterprises that are seeking to hire a western CEO (I've heard that's happening).
* Process for acquiring a manufacturing plant in China. (I have a thing for "Chinese antiques" and would like to acquire a plant that "manufactures" them for export).
* The relative merits of different brands of Chinese beer.
And you have to be willing to sit down and talk to me in person for, oh, let's say one hour. That's how you "earn" your beverage of choice. Also, I don't mind if you're a recruiter. (I could stand knowing a few more good ones in Beijing.)
****I'll be in Beijing on my language course in late September and early October****
Here's the "short story" on who I am. Was CEO of national distribution company for 15 years in Canada. Four years ago, seeing "China" coming from my perch as a CEO, I decided to learn to speak Mandarin so that my company could get-in-on the fun. Now, 4 years (and countless headaches) later, my Mandarin isn't too bad. (At least, so say the Beijing cab drivers now.)
But now my objective has changed. (Don't you hate it when that happens?!) The economy in Canada pretty much sucks nowadays -- unless you're an oil man. So I decided to sell-up and relocate full-time to China in the next while.
That's it. Pretty simple story. :)
Thanks.
