Over the last couple of months, I have been rather busy preparing and writing my new, and third, book on Beyond Budgeting. Like my previous books from 2003 and 2006, this new work will be first published in German language - my apologies to those of you who don´t speak German!*
The book will be published by Germany´s Campus Verlag, and I am really happy (and admittedly, quite proud) to say that Campus chose to launch the work as one of its main titles in its "business & management" line in the autumn season. The likely publishing date is September 2009.
We are currently in the process of choosing the final title for the book - so I cannot yet say much about the title, and it´s also a little early to announce in which direction the book will take the reader, and as far as I hope, the Beyond Budeting movement as a whole. What I can say already is that this book has been conceived to publicly give the Beyond Budgeting model the edge it deserves, about 10 years after its initiation, thus making Beyond Budgeting far more understandable and appealing - and to a far wider audience.
Be prepared, thus, for a fresh view on Beyond Budgeting and its promise. And a redefinition of how it should be seen, worded, and applied.
If you want to contribute ideas, thoughts, stories or anecdotes to the book, there is still time for that! You may send me an email or simply post anything you like in this blog, or in the online forum. I am looking forward to your inputs.
Beyond budgetingly, Niels
*On the upside: If you wish to contribute to the publication of the book in English or any other language in any way, please get in touch. It is likely that the translation into Russian of this book will already start in parallel with publication in German, for example... and I am grateful for your support to get this book published in as many languages as possible.
