PricewaterhouseCoopers has been featured in the “100 best companies to work for” list announced by FORTUNE. PwC has been featured in this list for the 6th consecutive year and ranks 71 in the overall list and 25 in the list of large companies. It is long known that PricewaterhouseCoopers helps its employees to develop professionally and encourages its professionals to participate in activities that support its local communities.
PwC is focused towards corporate responsibility which also underlines its commitment to people. In the last year, PwC, its partners and employees donated over $30 million to charitable institutions which are focused on youth development and spent over 134,000 hours engaged in community service. Even in 2009, PwC carried on its tradition of granting all US partners and staff 10 hours of paid time off annually so that they can volunteer for their personal causes and charities. This is the second consecutive year when the firm gave $1.5 million to charitable organizations during the holiday season to help more than 60 communities throughout the United States.
They have also continued to enhance their programs for educating and developing budding talent at all levels of the organization. PwC has always been aware that continuous education and learning are extremely important to build an atmosphere of leadership and excellence. The client service professionals are allowed nearly 90 hours of learning and education annually. When summed up, the organization delivered 1.5 million hours of training to its employees in the last financial year.
