BNI GreenBiz to open in Haberfield, Sydney
With an increasing need for businesses to be more environmentally responsible, BNI, the world’s largest business referral organisation, is planning to establish Australia’s first Green Chapter in Sydney’s Inner West.

An information meeting for people interested in starting the new chapter will be held at Dolcissimo Ristorante, 96 Ramsay Street in Haberfield at 7:30am on Wednesday 9th December.

Tony Benner, BNI’s Executive Director for Sydney Inner West said that the new chapter, BNI GreenBiz, is ideal for businesses offering eco-friendly products and services for sustainable living.

He said BNI is a professional business networking organisation that allows only one representative from each business or profession to join any of its chapters.

By establishing a green chapter, BNI will bring together a wide range of business people who all have a common goal of wanting to build their businesses whilst having a genuine concern for the environment.

“I have been quite surprised at the increasing number of Australian businesses that have a concern for our environment in their mission statements,” Tony Benner said.

“From companies like Westpac with their set of voluntary environmental and social guidelines for ethical lending to the local suburban shop selling rainwater tanks and eco-shower nozzles, everyone has the opportunity to demonstrate that sustainability matters in our society.”

Tony Benner said the the information meeting would be an ideal opportunity to meet other environmentally responsible business people who want to grow their businesses.

Anyone wishing to attend the GreenBiz meeting can contact BNI on (02) 9279 0261.
