The L-World in Business
"The L-World in Business" is a joint venture of Wirtschaftsweiber e.V. (Germany) and WyberNet (Switzerland). Under the umbrella of the 2nd Conference on LGBT Human Rights during WorldOutGames 2009 (July in Copenhagen) we will jointly offer a workshop with this title - and we have further plans (see below).
Our main focus is to connect and to research "Lesbians in the European Business World". Specifically for the workshop we plan to collect information around the topics "Lesbians in Corporate Diversity", "Lesbian Buying Power", "Lesbian Owned Business" and "Lesbian Leadership".
Our objective is, to connect via Xing on international level professionally successful and / or ambitious lesbian managers and entrepreneurs as well as all women and men who are professionally interested in the topic (e.g. from a research perspective) in the topic. Additionally, we would like to approach groups with similar interests.
Our conviction is that by this specific group in Xing we will open an intensive dialogue and exchange of information and contacts related to lesbians in the business world, before and also after the workshop.
Our vision is to reach sustainability by founding an European platform for lesbian managers and entrepreneurs and to become more visible on different levels. We imagine Xing somehow to be our nucleus.
