Our group is intended to appeal to :
- people who are working in non-profits today
- potential or current donors looking for worthwhile causes and new projects
- everyday people who want to improve the world around us
Practical Results
In the NP Forum (NP=non-profit) we invite our non-profit members to announce their projects and financing required so potential donors can read and make direct contacts. In the PD Forum (PD=Potential Donors), we ask potential donors to announce what projects they are interested in.
Our group will NOT be involved in negotiations or agreements between the two sides. Our mission is to bring the two sides together to meet on-line and to make initial exchanges. We invite our members to provide feedback and ideas to the two sides. This is an opportunity for ALL members to contribute on-line in the creation of a new business-philanthropy project that we can all feel proud about !
Code of conduct
We want to ensure a friendly atmosphere and discourage activities which disrupt our community so we request all members to respect the following simple rules. The following activities are strictly not allowed : 1) Spamming, 2) Off-topic threads, 3) Nonsensical messages, 4) Blatant advertising, 5) Fraudulent activity (such as pyramid schemes), 6) Chain letters, etc. If any member violates the above Code of Conduct, we reserve the right to terminate membership without prior notice.
The Moderator's Challenge
IF OUR GROUP HAS OVER 1000 MEMBERS BY 31.12.2008 THEN I WILL MAKE EUR 1000 DONATION TO ONE OF THE PROJECTS PROPOSED IN OUR NP FORUMS ! The winning project will be decided by voting by our members (one member one vote). The aim of this challenge is to stimulate members to invite new members and to spread the word about our group so we can reach the target of 1000. But also to act as an incentive for members to write in the NP-Forum and introduce their projects and proposals.
