Developing yachting business in Greater China?
    Hello Everyone

First of all: 'Guo Nian Hao!'

Over the past years I have met so many really great CEIBS students, So, for a business question I think this is the perfect place to get accurate information and of course some really great input from the CEIBS community.

Since 2005 we are operating a luxury yacht in the Mediterranean and Carribean. Witnessing the development of the luxury industry in China, I wonder if the time has come to promote our yacht to Chinese people who want to experience the summum of luxury and who want to enjoy a truly unique vacation in Europe.

Furthermore, we are starting a yacht chartering, sales and construction business in China.
Do you guys have any recommendation where we should establish our Mainland HQ?
All suggestions about this business idea are very welcome!

In any case, I want to thank all of you in advance for your kind replies.
if you want to take a look at our yacht and/or comment on our Chinese website please feel free to visit http://www.xtend.be/7sins. (The website is also available under http://www.sevensinsyacht.tk and the english version can be found under http://www.sevensinsyacht.com.)

    Thanks,

    Ief

First of thanks for contacting the CEIBS forum.

I personally believe, China is a very fragmented country. Hence, the concepts of segmentation does not work here for marketing.

Altogether the most successful marketing for luxury have been based on Micro-segmentation. Your research can start from building up the profiles of people visiting Saiya and other costly hot places in China.

Though I dont know much about luxury marketing but I can put you in touch with 2 people, who are into this domain, if you are interested.

    Regards,
    Lucky
