  15 most influential foreigners in China from past 3 decades

  International Talent Monthly, a periodical owned by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, published a list of the 15 most influential foreigners in China. The Wall Street Journal published some good links with the names: http://blogs.wsj.com/chinajournal/2008/12/03/china-chooses-i... All in all some very impressive biographies.
  
  What do you think about the list? Who is your favorite? And why is Dashan 大山 (http://www.youtube.com/DashanTV) missing?
  
  Personally I didn't know Edwin Mahers story which is also very interesting and can be found here http://www.cctv.com/english/20040518/101546.shtml.
