Content: Retrieval Distribution Delivery
Internet and Intranet are full of senseless and usefull content. David Weinberger (cluetrain-manifesto) concludes, that we have pretty much a good experience in dealing with the abundance of crap. But we do not really know how to solve the problem with of all the good stuff out there in terms of the lack of information inside the firewall. How do we connect people and good content related to departemental or even task-driven needs?
This Xing-group aims to build up a human interface between methods, technologies and appoaches to face the problem of content retrieval, personalization, and delivery in the areas of (Enterprise)Content Management, search engines, and also all related sciences like computational science, sociology, humanities and of course maths.
The goal is to open this issues to other sciences and even alien notions in order to bring in some practitioners thoughts as well as research results directly from the lab desk to us.
So be nice to strange approaches, if the right people bother caregiving they both can turn into gold.
