I heared that a CS member was threatened to be deleted in CS. I was thinking: "They must have done smth wrong". Then it happened to one of my friend, they deleted his account without a proper reason or explanation. It may happen to you or your friend as well. If you want stop this happeneing and to protest possible CS account deletions without explanations, join this group and write your ideas on the subject.
We need more members to support the case, please send the group address to your friends to invite them to this group, and send the group link to the groups in which you are active. The group link is:http://www.couchsurfing.org/group.html?gid=20275
The aim of the group is:
1- To help the CS administrative members to be transparent for their decisions that can have unrecoverable damage on members.
2- To ensure that CS spirit is not damaged by the afministrative actions or of course the member actions
3- To discuss the rationale of any account deletion in a more transparent way, and help the CS community to participate in the decision process.
I used the image "Vietnam Extrajudicial Execution" as the group photo, since it is a symbol against extrajudicial execution. Deletion of a members account without asking his defense, and without asking the CS community's opinion is like an "extrajudicial killing".

and leaving her a neutral reference, with her leaving me a neutral reference in return and several subsequent re-edits, I found myself being on the end of a personal vendetta to remove me from CS and publicly character assinate and chastise me. She keeps posting lies and bullshit on forums even stating Im to cause for the holocaust somehow?? Ive had my reference for her and profile removed and yet she keeps on posting crap about me. This has been ongoing and repeating since I hosted her from early September. Ive contacted the MDST team on at least 6 seperate occasions, trying to state as calm and rational as possible the harrasement Ive been recieving from her but not once did I recieve a reply. It was like I was being stonewalled. This leaves me to conclude either she works for the MDST herself, or has friends there or in other high places within CS. Even after contacting Matthew, the General Manager of CS, he said my case would be looked into with special treatment, however this just resulted in me being deleted!? I believe (or at least hope) CS promotes freedom of speech and self-expression, however all I would like is for my profile to be restored; (or at least for me to be given an explanation) and for this personal dispute between two members to be fairly treated (with both sides being heard!) or perhaps just left alone as it was originally.

I think its just unfair that someone like Ewan's profile can be deleted just because of a malicious girl's comment. I wonder why when Girls make copmplaints, they are taken seriously and not the other way round. There is nothing annoying as helping someone and then getting thi sin return.....
Cs admins need to be realistic. they have ambassadors in every city who usually know people so maybe they should really investigate someone's character before they delete him

Is this really CS?
I am pretty disappointed, I have seen the harrassment and I have met her, and I know Ewan bent over backwards to accomodate/help her in every way... and she sat in a corner on her own at the London Weekly meeting ignoring everyone and everything, playing with her phone..I asked her to join us several times... and when she finally did..she made no attempt to communicate whatso ever...she came across as disfunctional in MY opinion!

I have had a similar experience with Nathalie Schon, except that I gave up very quickly, and did not get my profile removed - only my comment for some time...
I do agree with you that she must know someone or work herself for the MDST.
She has been polluting CS groups so badly, that it is just unbelievable that she is not the one who get her profile erased.
If anybody has suggestions I'll be more than happy to be of any support.

Her polluting all sorts of groups with her allegations over and over again to me shows, that she must be off her head. Sounds like an unreasonable raging woman to me ... References (either negative or neutral) of different people on her profile also speak for themselves ...
What I don't get: why does nobody look at both their profiles? They would find, that various people have not been able to cope with her. Not only Ewan.
I have met him personally too and hence just cannot imagine any of her allegations being true ...
And I find it very unfair he was not heard nor replied to. Getting a profile deleted requires more than just a personal dispute in my humble opinion. If two people don't like each other they are to express it as they wish on their wall (freedom of speech ... yeah!) and everyone else can find out for themselves what the person is really like. Or, those references could be deleted, if they seem unreasonable.
I'd understand, if someone has already had 3 negative references ... which she has by the way. Well ok, two are neutral, but maybe only because the according cs were just too polite and respectful to make it a negative one?
Her actions in work life would be called mobbing. And if I had an employee, who operated like this, I would send him/her to see someone for help.
Couchsurfing for me was always a cool way to meet interesting and lovely people of all sorts of characters and mentality from all over the world. Coming across sooooo many people you will always find one or another, that is not "your cup of tea", but hey live and let live!

I hope the reason is the fact, that MDST is just checking them both out to then find, that Ewan is absolutely harmless and that freak a freak ...
I know he is in Paris right now. As soon as he comes back, catch him and tie him to the heating or something until middle of Jan, or to be exact, until I have left London. He is not travelling anywhere far away, before he hasn't danced that birthday-Salsa with me!!! LOL ;-)

Maybe all of those, who actually met her while she was staying at Ewan's should send a note and maybe a copy to this group-thread to the adminstrators to explain the situation from their point of you.
I wasn't there then. I can only confirm, that Ewan is a big softie and that I - when he still had a profile - saw, that he had by far more positive reference, hence more experience, than that girl ... and that she had already had 1 or 2 neutral ones claiming, that she seems to have had some sort behaviour disorder ... And maybe she was only lucky, the authors of them were just too polite to leave a negative one.
Anyway, I am sure it will help, if you speak up for him ... and then hopefully I can finally leave him the positive reference he deserves ;-)

I met Natalie when my girlfriend Carla and I stayed in London. I had the impression that Ewan was as nice as ever towards her (which means very nice), we even went home early from the CS meating because she was playing on her phone again, and didn't have any fun.
I can't believe that someone like Ewan, who is a great host, and a great contributor to CS can be deleted, just because of this one girl.
I can just hope that this gets sorted out, and that Ewan gets his profile back!!

I am honestly upset that such irrational cases are to be found on couchsurfing and I think its concerning that even such reliable and exeplary members like Ewan, who in my impression represented the quintessence of couchsurfing and served as a real ambassador to that website got deleted in such manner. I plea for restoration of his profile.
