  With a goal of achieving sustainability within a generation, the David Suzuki Foundation works through science and education to help protect the diversity of nature and our quality of life, now and for the future. An independent charity with offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa and Montréal, we collaborate with scientists, business, academia, government and other organizations to find ways to help Canadians live within the limits of nature.
  
  We are seeking a passionate fundraising professional with significant experience to lead our national leadership giving program and manage a personal portfolio of major donors and volunteers in Western Canada. This is a full time position based in Vancouver.
  
  As Associate Director, Leadership Giving, you welcome the challenge of leading a team raising more than $3.5M annually. You have an entrepreneurial approach, combining innovation with the discipline of best practices. You are committed to helping the Foundation achieve ambitious goals by building lasting relationships with donors, seeking out new supporters and finding the right fit between organizational needs and donor interests. You have considerable experience working with individual donors, corporations and foundations. You can maximize the effectiveness of the CEO, Board of Directors, senior volunteers and other stakeholders to increase support for the Foundation.
  Job Summary
  
  Develops and executes strategic major gifts program plans
  Manages an assigned portfolio of prospects and donors, and meets personal fundraising targets
  Leads and mentors a national major gifts team
  Catalyzes productive relationships between program needs, senior volunteers and prospects
  Ensures a very high standard of donor and prospect service and relations.
