On 2nd September our group took part in the all-day event Network008, with speaches, speed networking, and network game. It was an excellent opportunity to learn about the effective use of a personal network and meet with hundreds of other networkers.

Around 50 group members registrered for the event, and some of us met for a "Danmark Unlimited" get-together in the lunch break. It was interesting to get to know the people who we might have known only from their XING profile. Thanks for showing up and for your interest in hearing about the Danmark Unlimited background, vision, and plans!

Our member Thomas Christensen https://www.xing.com/profile/Thomas_Christensen2 held one of the sessions, speaking about the importance of networking, personal networking strategies, and tools.

Key note speaker, consultant and network expert, Christopher Barrat, gave us some practical networking tipps. Here are 3 of them: (1) Beware of your hand shake (dominant, pathetic, dobble touch). (2) When entering the room choose to join an open group (max. 3 people, empty spot) and participate in the discussion. (3) Place your name tag at the top right handside of your chest (it makes it easier for your partner to read your name when shaking hands). Important: "If you don't go (to an event), you'll never know". Advice for choosing events: Think in context, not in content - meaning don't think so much about the subject of the event but rather of which people will be present.

Thanks to Erhvervsservice Odense these visual impressions from the day are available:
