    Dear group members,

    I would like to invite you to the 55th Atlantic Treaty Association General Assembly that is about to take place from October 7th till October 10th in Kiev, Ukraine. Government officials will participate in this year’s program entitled “Security building for Civil Society in the 21st Century.” The assembly will focus on NATO’s new strategic concept, the way ahead in Afghanistan in particular, NATO‘s enlargement and partnerships, and NATO’s public diplomacy current implications for the region. Nonmilitary challenges such as Energy security in the wider Black Sea region and cooperation with countries of the FSU region will also be discussed.

    All delegates will have access to panels, cocktails and related. Further ideas and experiences could be shared during an optional excursion in Kiev at the end of the event.
