Xing demands that we have written discussions

Many of us enjoy communicating directly - through Skype, email or meetings. Xing has requested that we meet their criteria for a group and that means posting stuff. Please post something!

Exploring Innovation as a Culture Campaign

We are currently building the framework for the campaign "Exploring Innovation as a Culture". As a kick off to it, we want to host a Festival of Creativity, online and locally. By locally, we mean here in The Netherlands - or you can do so in your country as well. If you are interested in participating, please add your ideas and share your thoughts here. If you are more compfortable writing in Dutch or Spanish or Portuguese, please do so. Our moderators can host conversations in many languages.

The IFCCC Blog

You can follow what we're doing and watching on our blog for The Institute for Collaboration Creativity & Culture - http://www.ifccc.org/weblog Shortly, we will open our IFCCC forum to other collaborators who want to log in and join the discussion there as well. We're working on the framework for that right now.

PowWow in Haarlem October 23rd 2005

Please join us Sunday afternoon, October 23rd, starting at 4 pm in Haarlem at Taverne de Waag www.tavernedewaag.nl . We're going to have a social PowWow there after our Board Meeting (11 am - 4 pm) to re-connect with people that have been busy elsewhere, celebrate creating the Institute for Collaboration Creativity & Culture, and see what everyone has been doing. We would really enjoy seeing you there.

Conversation Starter

I think this concept of Open-BC is great - I can see about 1061 people are currently on line. That's not bad at all. I just think the software for the forums is so crude as to be useless for the time being. I think people are expecting a blog format that they can comment on, that is also visually exciting. I know..business people are supposed to be more interested in facts and figures - a sobre page they can look at during office hours without the boss suspecting they are looking for other things. But I think layout and presentation do matter to get conversations going. Dutch Connection does have a blog, by the way, at http://creativepartnership.blogspot.com/ . By all means check that spot out as well. But just because it is quiet on these pages doesn't mean things are not happening.

Dutch Connection Reacts to Creative Capital Conference Challenge

Input from Dutch Connection to the organisers of the Creative Capital Conference Introduction We are positive about this year’s Creative Capital conference (www.creativecapital.nl). 300 people from 20 countries gathered in the heart of Amsterdam to discuss issues that govern the future “creative capital” of this country – and indeed the whole of Western Europe. In 2015, India will have more than three times more qualified scientists (60 million) than the ENTIRE Dutch population (currently 16 million). And that knowledge will cost one tenth of the price than can be found in Europe....now read the article.

Missed moments

What do you wish you could have done today? Did you miss a chance? Did you need playmates to make it happen? Could you have used an open mind to listen to an idea? Did you need feedback on how to move forward? Share your thoughts - perhaps we can discover something here.

PLATFORMS OF INTEREST

Please share your thinking and ideas so that we can build platforms of interest where we can learn from one another. Open a dialogue in a new board for discussion. . . Here are some of the platforms we're currently discussing: . . . . . . . -- Life Extensions -- Person-Centric - not ego-centric, but personally centered, integrated through the person. -- Self-sustainability -- Back to Civility -- Digital Democracy & Active Citizenship -- Convergence -- Tranparency -- Social Entrepreneurship -- Evolutionary Path -- Culture -- Social Cause
