Established by the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce in London (AHK London) in 1988, the European College of Business and Management (ECBM) is a leading provider of bespoke business and management training for European companies and individual students. It is one of the most successful overseas Chamber colleges in existence. The ECBM has developed various partnerships with Chambers of Commerce within Europe and is supported by internationally renowned companies such as Bosch, Commerzbank and Siemens AG.
The ECBM used to be called German British School and European Vocational College.


The entire programmes are administered and delivered by ECBM staff. The programmes are validated as a franchise with state-certified partner Universities which award international recognised qualifications
All the courses are delivered in English and all staff members are University approved academics with strong business and professional experience.
ECBM specialises in providing opportunities for the German market, based on the flexible and internationally accredited programmes offered by its partner Universities in the UK.
Located in the heart of London all programmes are delivered part-time. They are tailor-made in order to be able to combine theory with practice on a dual level and to combine education and employment at the same time. Our emphasis is set on the importance of continuous and lifelong learning.
To date the ECBM has provided more than four thousand people with important business, cultural and language skills to enable them to work successfully in an international environment. The courses lead to European accredited qualifications.

Business Programme – leading to a Bachelor (Hons) in Business and Management (BA)
First phase (nationally recognised): Certificate in Management Studies (CMS)
Second phase (European accreditation): Bachelor (Hons) in Business Studies
The ECBM provides complete administration and tuition of the programme in full agreement with the University of Wales, Newport which awards the BA (Hons) certificate.

Management Training Programme - leading to a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
First year (nationally recognised): Diploma in Management Studies (DMS)
Second year (European accreditation): MBA
DMS graduates are given the opportunity to move on to the MBA.

Professional Development Programme
The PDP courses (duration of an average of one to twelve weeks) are customised business and language training programmes. They are designed to fulfill the needs of employers and develop the professional skills of the delegates as well as meeting the challenges of working in an international environment. We offer a range of specialist business programmes for European students and new programmes are continually being developed.
