Difficult to say but I like to remember the book "Der Schwarm" from Frank Schätzing but also all the recent books by Dan Brown (Da Vinci Code, Meteor, Illuminati, etc.). At the moment I'm very much interested in psychology related topics, especially those which are easy to read and understand (e.g. "Psychology for Dummies" :-)).

My favorite Book is 'the Glory and the Dream'. This book can introduce American history in a narrative way. Every time i read sth about President Lincoln, i can't keep weeping. I think this is a wonderful book that touch your soul with ease.

Since you're interested in Psychology, I'd recommed ' Influence: The Psychology of Persuation' . It's an interesting read.

My Favourite book?
Difficult
Favourite authors like Terry Pratchett - his understanding of human psychology and it's interaction with the modern world can be uncanny. Also Bernard Cornwell for the exhilaration of his view of life through his main characters. But no favourite books.
