Hello members of Executive Learning Center Community!
Please allow me to introduce myself: I am Carsten Iversen, 41, living in the Ruhr Metropolis in Germany. Currently I am active as an international business liaison & information broker. I offer my services to all those who are in search of a mediator for establishing international business activities and I acquire and offer all kinds of relevant data and intelligence that might be helpful in establishing such relations and activities. I specialize in Western European-Asian liaisons with a focus on China because I am convinced that economic ties between those two business cultures will be of paramount importance to global economics in the next few deacades.
Our cultures, especially business cultures are more alike than most of us might think. That applies even more specifically to Germany and China although I have to admit that regarded superficially this might appear a little far-fetched to someone who is not that much familiar with both cultures. Even to me this finding was quite surprising in the beginning. For example the ever growing importance of female entrepreneurs and executives in China. I found that there is a huge potential to be released in the not-so-very-far future.
That is one reason why I'm so delighted with Executive Learning Center (being a veteran of distance learning myself anyway. In the early 90's together with my brother I founded LearNet, Inc. in the US which turned out to be a success so that we could sell it after a few years). Not only that one of ELC's founders, Miss Julia Feng, is a lady of remarkable entrepreneur spirit...but ELC as such offers an excellent tool to provide the necessary skills and essential trainining for those future business leaders especially the female ones. I expect that this will prove a priceless foundation for developing economies in the immediate future. For example: Prof. Muhammad Yunus, founder of the Grameen Bank and one of the fathers of micro-banking and micro-loans puts his faith in women as entrepreneurs. Well..who am I to contradict a Nobel prize winner anyway? :)
Now you know some of my basic ideas about economy, cultures and women. If you want to find out more...please try! :)
