MODEM SYSTEM TEST ENGINEER - SOPHIA-ANTIPOLIS (06)
We are searching for an engineer for Customer Product Validation team. The main role of this team is to validate SW releases on different target HWs (USB data sticks, smartphones and tablets). The successful applicant for this job will have to validate all the aspects of the delivery, in an end-user perspective. You will have to verify the reliability of the product in terms of protocol aspects. In particular, you will have to check that the product is stable in static conditions and in mobility conditions. Your opinion about the delivery will help management team to decide whether the delivery is good enough to be sent to the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- To define a test plan according to the platform to test
- To prepare the test sessions
- To run the tests thanks to our automatic tools or manually, depending on the tested product
- To analyze issues and share them with developers
- To track the issues using our database
- To provide a final test report to project team/management team
- To participate to the enhancement of our automatic tools

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- Telecom Engineer
- Fluent in English
- A previous work experience in the mobile telecommunications and the validation areas would be a plus.
- Knowledge of GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA/LTE standards
- Programming skills (Python and Java preferred)
- Rigorous, methodically inclined, organized
- Able to synthesize huge amounts of information and to work on several activities/projects in parallel
- Autonomous
- Able to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work in a multicultural environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work proactively and to contribute to the companys innovative solutions
- Travel Required: less than 10%
