SYSTEM VALIDATION ENGINEER - SOPHIA-ANTIPOLIS (06)
Validation Engineer dedicated to the pre GCF/PTCRB certification of modem platforms. Specialist in 2G/3G/LTE 3GPP systems, he/she is in charge of different testing and debugging activities :

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Coordinate and perform GCF/PTCRB/ Throughput /NV-IOT testing of modem platforms to guarantee compliance of the platform against requirements
- Support customer certification testing when required
- Manage communication of issues within NVIDIA development teams
- Analyze and debug issues.
- Report and track progress of all issues to management and project team
- GCF/PTCRB test and debug of NVIDIAs modem platforms in front of network simulators platforms such as Anite or R&S.
- IOT Test and debug in Operators or Infra-vendors labs.
- User plane throughput test and debug in front of network simulators platforms or live network.
- Keep tracking all issues found in coordination with NVIDIA development teams until failure resolution
- Involves travels (about 25%) within infrastructure labs or test house all over the world.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

- Degree in engineering school or Master
- Strong knowledge of L3/L2 (and ideally L1) layers for GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA/LTE technologies.
- Very good knowledge of Mobile Network architecture and algorithms (interfaces between layers, mobility procedures&).
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Good communication skills
- Well organised, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritisation skills
- Proactive and able to work with a minimum of supervision
- Travel Required: About 25%

IDEAL REQUIREMENTS :

- At least 2 or 3 years of relevant experience in 3GPP products validation or development
