Hello Everyone,

One of the measures being brought in to address the Information Security situation is ISO 27001.

This new Information Security standard provides a systematic framework for an organization to account for its information assets, assess the security risks and implement effective controls to avoid these.

In the very near future, everyone will be looking to implement and gain certification to ISO 27001 in order to gain the public's confidence that their data is indeed protected.

Hello Everyone,

ISO has released a new standard: ISO/IEC 27005:2008 Information technology – Security techniques – Information security risk management.

This provides guidelines for information security risk management and supports the general concepts specified in ISO/IEC 27001:2005, Information technology – Security techniques – Information security management systems – Requirements.

The new standard is designed to assist the implementation of ISO/IEC 27001, the information security management system standard, which is based on a risk management approach.
