Rather than asking yourself what bells & whistles you could potentially add to your website, you might want to take a step back and ask yourself:
1) What are we trying to achieve with the website? 2) Who is our audience? 3) Where can your audience be found on the Internet? 4) What does our audience expect and how can you provide value to them?
In answering these kind of questions you will be able to come up with a strategy, which you can then break down into specific tactics. People don't care about your blog, forum, widgets etc. if they don't get any value out of it!
Keep in mind that the Internet has evolved into a platform. We are not dealing with isolated destinations anymore but destinations are linked and data can flow freely between them. Think about how you can make your corporate website part of this web and how you can aggregate content from other sites and disseminate your own content and also go out to where your audience is.
