2001-2007 (formerly):
Cologne-international get-togethers - despite and with the aid of modern means of communication

forkast.net has became known because of the SMS-distribution list, through which invitations to a 'regulars' table' were extended each Wednesday from 2001 until 2007. During this time we have visited some hundred and more different clubs, bars, pubs and restaurants in Cologne. Traditional interchange and communication.

The acronym built from formerly known as Stammtisch ('regulars' table'), however, is to be seen in the style of the English term - and in contrast to the fusty regulars' table -; it stands for a view ahead, for old and new means of communication, personal talks, the use of the internet and new media.

In this spirit forkast.net started in April 2008 under the facet forkast.in/novation a series of events that shall promote the multidisciplinary exchange of knowledge in the region of Cologne - Bonn - Aachen - Düsseldorf.
