BACKGROUND
Established early in 2009, African Bay Hospitality Group is managed by the Founder and main Shareholder, Mr. Hans J. Heuer. Hans J. Heuer graduated from Madison University in the USA with a Master of Arts Degree (MA) “Magna Cum Laude” in Hospitality and Tourism Management as well as a Bachelors of Science Degree (BSc) “Magna Cum Laude” in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration. He further holds a 3-year Degree in Banking from Germany as well as various other management related certificates.
Under the leadership of Hans J. Heuer as Managing Director, the team of dedicated professionals aims to deliver both, fantastic service and a passion for hospitality experience per excellence. This is possible by our hands on approach.

RESPONSIBLE TOURISM
African Bay Hospitality actively works for and supports the development of responsible and sustainable tourism – tourism that promotes positive learning experiences and ensure that local communities derive sustainable benefits from the tourism business that have an impact on them. Our support of the Amy Biehl Foundation, for example, supports the building of a non-racial society and the care for homeless children. Further to this, we subscribe to the code of conduct of the Heritage Counsel and support Eco-tourism.
TOURISM POLICY
African Bay Hospitality Group fully supports and endorses the Governments National White Paper on Development and Promotion of Tourism Policy for South Africa. Since our establishment, we have attempted to implement the key principles of responsible tourism as we apply these principles in every aspect of our business.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY AND PROGRAMMES
The above framework informs African Bay Hospitality Groups’ day-to-day operational activities. However, we believe that tourism players have a responsibility to go beyond what is required of them on an operational level. Social responsibility is an integral feature of our activities. Our participation in various development projects in ongoing. The company capacity-building, developmental ethos applies not only to its personnel; it also governs its interaction with all levels of stakeholders in the industry.
