People interested in learning more about franchising and becoming a franchisee should note the following event in their diaries: the British & International Franchise Exhibition is opening its doors to the public at Olympia London this week on 19 & 20 March. The event is being held in association with the British Franchise Association, the bfa, and is being sponsored by the Daily Express.
Franchising is a business model that enables people to become their own boss, but with the support of an established business and brand. This franchise exhibition is, the organizers says, the only exhibition whose exhibitors are all British Franchise Association (bfa) approved franchises, so visitors can be sure that the franchise opportunities, franchise advice and business guidance people receive meet the bfa’s standard.
Besides being able to meet a large number of franchisors from many different business sectors, franchise lawyers, consultants and banking specialists will also be on hand to provide advice on setting up as a franchisee. This year, the organizers have put together a full programme of free franchising advice such as the ‘Franchisee Panel’ (from being employed to having your own business) and the ‘Franchise Starting Point’, where all questions are answered in one location before the search for the right business begins. Furthermore, there will be a number of keynote speeches and a full programme of bfa seminars.
The British & International Franchise Exhibition Olympia, London, is open to visitors on Friday 19 March 2010 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday 20 March 2010 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (kbp)
