    The International Association of Advanced MBAs (IAA-MBA) brings together PhD-MD-JD-MBA-EMBAs into a single global professional association. These MBAs possess an advanced doctoral degree - i.e. a PhD, MD or JD degree and constitute an important and growing segment of the global MBA community. The IAA-MBA aims to provide a new platform for these MBA-holders to network, conduct job searches, explore new careers and generally pursue professional development activities appropriate to their advanced academic training and professional qualifications that are often not addressed by existing MBA groups.

    Holders of German degrees/qualifications such as the Diplom-Betriebswirt, Diplom-Kaufmann/frau, Diplom-Volkswirt, Diplom-Wirtschaft, Diplom-Oekonom, Diplom-Finanz or Diplom-Jurist are also eligible to join. Career planning and placement officers and faculty at business schools and schools of science, engineering, medicine and law are welcome to join as associate members, as are executive recruiters.

    The IAA MBA should be of particular interest to persons working in the following fields: technology commercialization, licensing and transfer; intellectual property management and patents; venture capital, incubators, angel and seed funding; startup companies and entrepreneurship; strategy and strategy consulting; finance and banking; innovation management and policy; advanced research and development; futures studies; business development; international economic development; and joint ventures and strategic alliances.

    It is expected that the IAA MBA will become a important community for networking and exchange between leading researchers and innovators; angel and venture financiers; commercialization and strategy experts; science, technology, innovation and health policy professionals; and doctors, senior health care managers and attorneys around the world.
