Hi Anju,
Great to join you all here! Hope this becomes the prime location for people to connect on Indian business & doing business in India.
A small observation....
The world at large still sees India as an exotic land full of ancient culture & poverty. The images at the head of our forum also reflect that.
Might be nice to see some images of India as it is today for business. With a growing infrastructure & dyanamic, tech driven workforce.
Look forward to conecting with many more people here :-)

Dr. Joseph Madol Group moderatorThe company name is only visible to registered members.Re^4: Welcome new members
My companies are looking to develop extensive trade in India, specifically concerning foods. We are looking to possibly create a Food Processing Facility in India, with the view to develop a domestic market and an international market. Our orientation is fish products, vegetables and processed foods. We are interested to find existing organizations which could be acquired or looking for an investor.
India in our mind is a sleeping giant which for various reasons has not received the attention, as Russia or China as significant areas of investment opportunities, and resources. It is viewed substantially as an out-source market by the western business sectors.
The value of this forum, is one which can serve to educate people on the methods of doing business in India, from a legal, social and economic aspect.

Dr. Madol is very right. India is like a sleeping Giant, and this Forum can really help people about the economic, social, and business realities, since we have people from many sides of the ocean and people who are doing business in India.
Thank you for your specificity in mentioning what you are looking for. I would suggest that you and others also post your specific needs (in short) on the "Looking for " sub-forum here, so that we can direct possible investors, people wanting to collaborate etc. to that site. Others are more likely to read that column as well.
I will write to Mr. Madol individually about possible introductions to the Food Industry people in India and I hope others will look into their contacts and try and make those connections for Dr. Madol and others who post here. If the gola of each one here is to reach out and make sure we try and help others connect with what they want, this will be a very vibrant and mutually helpful India business community. Thank you.

i dont see poverty in the header:- i see culture, space, history and the swiss flag (?) - apart from the flag i like it
i spent 3 months in india and nepal in the 80's, and have plenty of reasons to go back (many new i-friends to meet there in person) - perhaps, and i hope, 2007 will be the year!
i am interested in helping people with passion to develop in many areas, please dont hesitate to ask me anything you like
best regards
Nigel

We have many new and relevant pictures that are in the process of being put up here. They will be up by January.
Thanks for your observations and desire to help. The more we can reach out to one another, and share needs and learnings, the more successful this fourm will be.
