  Introduction - Menin Vonk Music, Dublin

  MVM provides music teachers and ensembles for a wide range of events regarding musical education.
  
  In 2006, while living in Chicago (USA) we founded MISO Music Chicago, a music service providing classical and jazz musicians for shows, concerts, and other events in the greater Chicago area. Focusing on musical education and international cultural exchange, MISO Music Chicago in 2007 started supporting the International Chamber Music Festival (ICMF) in Bulgaria by providing and maintaining the ICMF internet plattform.
  
  After relocating from Chicago to Dublin in 2007, specifically concentrating on providing musical education, we created Menin Vonk Music (MVM).
  
  The internet is loaded with research on the affects music education can have on growing children.
  
  A research team exploring the link between music and intelligence reported that music training is far superior to computer instruction in dramatically enhancing children's abstract reasoning skills, the skills necessary for learning math and science.
  
  Music teaches you to use many different parts of your brain, it helps you develop self-esteem, critical thinking skills, it teaches cooperation, leadership and many other personal development skills. Music education improves abilities in reading, writing, math, and science. Music education can keep kids out of trouble and it gives a sense of community in schools. Music can also be an emotionally rewarding, interpretive and enlightening activity. Musicians have the opportunity to get to know themselves through the music they play and they get to reach out to those who witness their music. Music lifts the spirit and can make life more enjoyable for everyone who is involved.
  
  So in response to the question "Why learn a musical instrument?"- we say, why not?
  
  Have you ever considered offering instrumental lessons at your school, community centre, social club, or parish centre?
  
  Considering the importance and benefits of a solid musical education, this would be a great opportunity for your students, your members, or your parishioners to have one to one music lessons at a convenient and familiar location.
  
  All we would need from you is to provide a suitable room where the lessons will be held. We will take care of timetables and all other administrational tasks.
  
  The first step would be for us to do an instrument presentation at your school, centre, or club, introducing people to the trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn and other members of the family of brass instruments.
  
  All instrument presentations are absolutely free of charge!
